Our Role

GOA-US is a domestic, non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote Christianity and alleviate suffering in Kenya and East Africa.  We partner with Glory Outreach Assembly to carry out certain charitable activities and programs to pursue select projects and ensure accountability in the use and application of funds. We also work to mobilize and coordinate the efforts of GOA supporters. 


Support Organization

It is important for friends of Glory Outreach Assembly to work together in a coordinated manner.  Supporters and their efforts are being organized through the following teams:

  • Marketing/Fundraising
  • Communications
  • Prayer & Mission Team Support

Additionally, there are three specific projects which for which there are participation needs.  Our communications team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the GOA-US web site, which will serve as an effective means of communication with supporters and as a project clearinghouse (so that we can address the needs in Kenya in a coordinated manner).  Additional tasks include scheduling and disseminating information, sharing news and providing a
communication portal for Glory Outreach Assembly and other supported organizations. 




Our Marketing/Fundraising team has proposed holding a golf tournament fund raiser this summer as we have an opportunity to partner with Major League Baseball for this event.  We will be seeking and coordinating various other efforts to promote and raise funds to support GOA-US chosen projects.

The Prayer & Missions Team has the task of initiating and supporting a coordinated prayer vehicle.  It is our belief that Prayer is an important means to connect and encourage the works of the Kingdom.  Secondly our goal is to help encourage and connect individuals and organizations to planned Mission opportunities within Eastern Africa.

 

 

Purpose

Glory Outreach Assembly-US, Inc. (GOA-US) was formed with the objectives ofworking to alleviate suffering and promote Christianity in Kenya and East Africa.  This agreement defines the relationship of GOA-US with Glory Outreach Assembly (GOA-Kenya) with respect to assistance provided by GOA-US to GOA-Kenya in carrying out certain charitable activities and programs. To this end, financial and other support will be provided by GOA-US to GOA-Kenya so long as GOA-Kenya is able to assist GOA-US in its pursuit of the objectives outlined below.  GOA-US will retain full control over donated funds and will only advance funding to GOA-Kenya towards projects in Kenya and East Africa which are consistent with our objectives primarily:

  • care for the hurting and homeless,
  • Christian evangelization,
  • conflict resolutions, and
  • leadership development
